Jää Cube in Black

The Jää cube is a multifunctional design piece, that can be used as a seat, side table, or stand. Sculptural in design, the Jää cube has a tactile top surface and is completed with bespoke, satin-polished aluminium spacers and end nuts. It has an angled profile, which allows the table to lean towards an armchair or a bed. The Jää furniture is made out of 100% recycled post-consumer plastic* - pure waste diverted from the landfills. The end product is a heavy small cube, full of waste.

The Finnish word jää has two meanings; ‘ice’ and ‘please stay’ - a perfect word for sustainable pieces of design.

Our inspiration for the Jää furniture series came initially from the beautiful and practical nature of recycled plastic and its environmentally friendly credentials. Through the design and use of materials, we wanted to show that recycled plastic furniture can be bold, desirable, and aesthetically pleasing. The furniture is made in Britain with a mixture of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastic shapes with small aluminum spacers and nuts. Further, the Jää designs are also fully recyclable contributing to the circular economy.

The Jää pieces are sculptural, multifunctional, and adaptable designs suitable for both indoors and outdoors in public and private spaces. Handmade to order in the UK.
